Mike Brunnick

VALR Founder

With over 35 years of leadership experience, Mike has led teams in the military, government, nonprofit, and private sectors.  In his 25 years in the B2B technology space, Mike led global teams in the fields of training, services, products, sales, and customer success.  As such, he has a unique perspective on how the parts of a go-to-market (GTM) team work together, and how they impact the customer experience.

His specialty is leading teams within organizations who are looking to make successful exits. His track record includes exits with: Vignette (acquired by OpenText), Autonomy (acquired by HP), SocialWare (acquired by ProofPoint), and, most recently, QAD (acquired by Thoma Bravo).

Mike has a BS from Holy Cross, and has earned a Bronze Star with Combat "V" for valor as a Platoon Leader in the Marines during Operation Desert Storm.

Jason Mundy

Senior Advisor

Jason Mundy, a Senior Advisor at VALR Advisors, is a certified FocalPoint executive coach and  business consultant with over 25 years of B2B technology marketing leadership experience in high-growth SaaS startups and Fortune 100 companies, including EMC and Dell. He's a two-time former CMO with a proven track record of enhancing operational efficiency and driving sales growth. His specialty is in helping leaders of small and medium-sized technology, manufacturing, and professional services firms grow revenue through innovative sales, marketing, and leadership strategies.

Jason has an MBA from Boston University, and a BS in Engineering from the University of Rhode Island.

Jeff Lortz

Senior Advisor

Jeff is a former naval officer and seasoned CXO within both private equity-backed and public companies. He is a strategic advisor, executive coach, and leadership development expert with a 25-year legacy driving transformational growth and operational excellence including two tenures as CEO.

Jeff specializes in aligning product capabilities with market opportunities, defining go-to-market (GTM) strategies, and building high-performance teams that deliver exceptional results. He has served as an executive at hyper-growth public companies (PTC and Pegasystems).  His experience includes successful IPOs (Bladelogic and Everbridge) and a strategic acquisition (Bladelogic to BMC). As CEO, he led PE founder transitions (Fastr and ProcessMaker), a complex carve-out (Acoustic from IBM), and a multi-company roll-up with Vista (Tomia).

Jeff has an MBA from the University of Rhode Island and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.

Tony Winter

Senior Advisor

Tony is a global technology executive and former public-company CTO with more than 25 years of experience leading innovation, modernization, and digital transformation across enterprise software, SaaS, and industrial technology. He is a strategic advisor to founders, CEOs, and investors, specializing in scaling software platforms, strengthening product and engineering organizations, and driving technology-led value creation.

As Chief Technology Officer at QAD, Tony led a full SaaS re-architecture, established an Innovation Lab for AI, analytics, and IoT, and built a 250-person global engineering and DevOps organization. His leadership helped deliver a 3.5× valuation increase and supported QAD’s $2B acquisition by Thoma Bravo. Through his firm, Wintonium, he now provides fractional CTO and advisory services focused on technical due diligence, platform modernization, and growth acceleration across public, private, and PE-backed companies.

Tony has been recognized as CTO of the Year, holds a U.S. patent in service-oriented architecture, and holds a BS in Computer Science and Physics from Staffordshire University in the United Kingdom.
